Isles lose Grabovski to injury against Sharks
The New York Islanders lost forward Mikhail Grabovski in the first period of tonight's game with the San Jose Sharks, after being driven to the ice by Sharks tough guy John Scott just past the midway point of the opening frame.

Uniondale - October 16, 2014 - New York Islanders forward Mikhail Grabovski was helped off the ice with an upper-body injury midway through the first period of their game against the San Jose Sharks on Thursday. He will not return to the game, the Islanders announced.

Grabovski was driven to the ice along the left-wing boards in San Jose’s zone on a hit by Sharks forward John Scott at 13:22. Play was stopped and Grabovski was assisted to the dressing room by Islanders medical personnel.

No penalty was called on the play.
