Windsor - Mar. 30, 2017: The Windsor Spitfires have pushed the defending Memorial Cup Champion London Knights to the brink of elimination with an exciting 3-2 overtime win. The Spits now take a commanding 3-1 series lead with them into Game 5 Friday night at the Budweiser Gardens. Chicago Blackhawks prospect Graham Knott was the hero of the night scoring both the game’s first and last goals. His biggest came at 5:58 of OT to give the Spitfires a 3-2 win over the Knights before 5,302 at the WFCU Centre. FULL STORY

Toronto - Mar. 28, 2017: The Ontario Hockey League today announced the results of a further review of incidents which took place as part of the playoff game played in London on the 26th of March, 2017, involving the Knights and the visiting Windsor Spitfires Hockey Club. It is the position of the League that the post-game media comments made by Windsor Spitfires Head Coach Rocky Thompson were most inappropriate and detrimental to the welfare of the League. Toronto - Mar. 27, 2017: The Ontario Hockey League today announced the results of a review of an incident which took place in a playoff game played in London on the 26th of March, 2017 involving the Knights and the visiting Windsor Spitfires Hockey Club. The Windsor Spitfires scored a lopsided 7-1 victory over the Gens in front of 4,936 fans at the WFCU Centre. The Spits were without star goaltender Michael DiPietro, NHL first rounders Logan Brown and Logan Stanley, NHL drafted Jeremiah Addison and NHL prospect Gabe Vilardi. Windsor - Sep. 22, 2016: The Windsor Spitfires launched their road to the Memorial Cup season with a 4-1 win over the Erie Otters in front of 5,418 fans at the WFCU Centre. Shaun Bily opened the scoring for Erie at 8:53 of the first period. It was all Spitfires from there on with goals from Cole Carter, Cole Purboo and Aaron Luchuk to give the home team a 3-1 lead after 20 minutes. Patton, a 6'1, 181-pound native of Waterloo, Ontario, is a product of the Toronto Marlboros AAA system, and spent part of the 2015-16 season with the Newmarket Hurricanes of the OJHL. FULL STORY

The prestigious national championship returns to the city of Windsor for the first time since 1981, an event that featured three teams including the champion Cornwall Royals (QMJHL), the Kitchener Rangers (OHL), and the Victoria Cougars (WHL). In a press release from the Spits, OHL Commissioner David Branch was quoted as saying “The city of Windsor and Essex County is home to some of the most passionate fans in the entire Canadian Hockey League.” Commissioner Branch is right. We love our hockey, and we love our Spitfires. Think back to May 2010 when the Spits won their second Memorial Cup in a row. FULL STORY

His numbers rank him as the all-time leading scoring amongst defencemen in Spitfire history.
