Windsor - Jun. 24, 2015: At a news conference in Oshawa this morning, owner Rocco Tullio introduced Spitfires Associate Coach Bob Jones as the new head coach of the Oshawa Generals. The Oshawa Generals will battle the Erie Otters in a hard fought, offensively dynamic OHL Championship. The series starts on Friday and it's bound to be a good one. t this point in time, I just can't go against Connor McDavid and the Otters. Oshawa - Apr. 6, 2014: Oshawa Generals’ 2013 rookie sensation, Mitchell Vande Sompel delivered a powerful performance on Sunday night, not at the defenceman position, but rather as a forward as he tallied two assists in a 2-0 shutout victory over the visiting Peterborough Petes. Vande Sompel’s offensive performance was overshadowed by Gens’ goaltender Daniel Altshuller, who recorded 22 saves for his second consecutive shutout and has Oshawa sitting comfortably with 2-0 series lead.
