Pittsburgh - Apr. 24, 2020: Sidney Crosby expressed his condolences Tuesday following a mass shooting in his native province of Nova Scotia over the weekend. The Pittsburgh Penguins center issued a statement through the Sidney Crosby Foundation to the more than 20 victims, which included Constable Heidi Stevenson, a 23-year veteran of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police who was from Crosby's hometown of Cole Harbour. Pittsburgh - Mar. 13, 2019: Evgeni Malkin reached 1,000 NHL points with two assists for the Pittsburgh Penguins in a 5-3 win against the Washington Capitals at PPG Paints Arena on Tuesday. The 32-year-old center has 391 goals and 609 assists in 848 games with the Penguins, who selected him with the No. 2 pick in the 2004 NHL Draft. He is the 88th player in NHL history to reach 1,000 points, the first since Vancouver Canucks forward Daniel Sedin on Nov. 30, 2017. FULL STORY

Toronto - Jan. 17, 2019: The NHL and the NHLPA had another constructive meeting today in Toronto. While the parties have now jointly concluded that it is no longer realistic to try to schedule a World Cup of Hockey for the fall of 2020, they plan to continue their dialog with a hope of being able to schedule the next World Cup event as part of a broader agreement, which would include a long-term international event calendar.
