Spitfires fall to Sting in Sarnia
Nikita Korostelev's five-point night (3G, 2A) led to the Sarnia Sting to a lopsided 9-2 win over the Windsor Spitfires at the RBC Centre on Saturday night. Leading 2-0 after 20 minutes, Sarnia (3-3-1-0) scored six more times in the second period, putting the game completely out of reach.

Sarnia - October 12, 2014 - Nikita Korostelev's five-point night (3G, 2A) led to the Sarnia Sting to a lopsided 9-2 win over the Windsor Spitfires at the RBC Centre on Saturday night.

Leading 2-0 after 20 minutes, Sarnia (3-3-1-0) scored six more times in the second period, putting the game completely out of reach.

Mark Manchurek (2) scored once and assisted on the other Windsor (2-4-0-0) goal, Chris Marchese's team-leading fifth of the season.

Jeff King (2A), Anthony DeAngelo (3A), Pavel Zacha (1G, 2A), Davis Brown (2G), Daniel Nikandrov (2A), Kevin Spinozzi (1G, 1A) and Jordan Kyrou (1G, 2A) all had multi-point games for the winners.

Brendan Johnston made his first OHL start in goal for Windsor, stopping 19 of the 27 shots he faced. He was replaced after 40 minutes by Alex Fotinos, who made 14 saves.

Justin Fazio, playing in place of injured starter Taylor Dupuis, made 28 saves for the win.

The Spits return to action Thursday night, hosting the Saginaw Spirit, before embarking on a two game road trip to Barrie (Saturday) and Owen Sound (Sunday).
