Windsor - September 3, 2014 - General Manager Warren Rychel is pleased to announce the club has acquired overager Slater Doggett from the Kingston Frontenacs in return for London's 12th Round Pick in 2015.

A 6'0, 190-pound native of Burlington, ON, Doggett played two seasons with the Frontenacs, recording 10 goals and 32 assists, along with 84 PIM in 125 regular season games played.

β€œIt's nice to acquire a versatile player like Slater,” Rychel said. β€œHe played primarily defence with Kingston last year, but he has also played left wing in the past, so he's a good veteran option for us at a few positions. He will add leadership and experience to the club.”

Doggett is expected to report to the Spitfires tomorrow, but is not expected to dress for the club's pre-season home opener against Plymouth.
