Vancouver - October 24, 2013 - Tim Traber scored in overtime to lift the Vancouver Giants to a 4-3 win over the Calgary Hitmen Wednesday night at the Pacific Coliseum.

Blake Orban opened the scoring with his first of the season less than five minutes into the game.

Alec Baer added to the lead just over two minutes later with a highlight reel goal, and Cain Franson also got his first of the season with less than a minute to go in the opening frame to give the Giants a 3-0 lead heading into the first intermission.

Jake Virtanen put the Hitmen on the board less than halfway in to the second period. Elliott Peterson scored just under five minutes into the final frame, and Calder Brooks tied the game for the Hitmen in the late stages of the third period.

The teams started overtime 3-on-3 as Brady Brassart and Dalton Thrower got two minutes each for unsportsmanlike conduct as extra time as about to begin. Traber scored for the Giants to end the game just as the penalties expired.

The overtime win against the Hitmen makes it two straight wins for the Giants.
