Windsor - October 18, 2013 - A late third period goal from Scott Kosmachuk boosted the Guelph Storm to a 3-2 win over the Windsor Spitfires in front of 4,637 at the WFCU Centre Thursday.

Pius Suter opened the scoring for Guelph with a shorthanded goal early in the first period.

Brock McGinn increased the Storm’s lead to two goals at 15:59 of the opening frame.

Windsor (4-6-0-0) got on the board when Josh Ho-Sang (1G, 1A) buried a pass from Nick Ebert early in the second period.

Midway through the third, Kerby Rychel jammed the game-tying goal past Storm goalie Justin Nichols.

Three minutes later Kosmachuk (1G, 1A) split Windsor’s defence and beat goaltender Jordan DeKort for the winner.

DeKort made 31 saves, while Justin Nichols was oustanding, turning aside 33 pucks for the win.

Windsor’s next action is Saturday night, when they take on the London Knights at the WFCU Centre.
