Kerby Rychel had a goal and three assists as the Windsor Spitfires continued their hot offensive play in a 7-4 win over the Niagara IceDogs Sunday afternoon at the WFCU Centre. Josh Ho-Sang (2G, 1A) and Nikita Yazkov (3A) each had a three-point afternoon, as Windsor (3-3-0-0) got back to the .500 mark, taking four of a possible six points for the week.

Windsor - October 6, 2013 - Kerby Rychel had a goal and three assists as the Spitfires continued their hot offensive play in a 7-4 win over the Niagara IceDogs Sunday afternoon at the WFCU Centre.

Josh Ho-Sang (2G, 1A) and Nikita Yazkov (3A) each had a three-point afternoon, as Windsor (3-3-0-0) got back to the .500 mark, taking four of a possible six points for the week.

Slater Koekkoek (2), Eric Diodati (2), Remy Giftopoulos (2) and Brady Vail (5) had the other goals for the Spitfires, who moved into a tie for third in the West Division with two games in hand on Plymouth.

Carter Verhaeghe opened the scoring less than two minutes into the game, staking Niagara to their only lead of the afternoon.

From there, Windsor's potent attack took over, as the locals built leads of 3-2 after 20 minutes and 6-4 after two periods.

Blake Siebenaler, Mitchell Fitzmorris and Mack Lemmon had the other goals for Niagara (2-4-1-0).

Dalen Kuchmey made 23 saves for his third win in as many starts. Brent Moran made 22 saves in goal for the IceDogs before he was forced to leave late in the third period after being struck in the throat area with a puck.

The Spits next see action Thursday, October 10th, as they entertain the Belleville Bulls at 7:05.
