Sarnia - September 7, 2013 - The home side jumped out to an early 3-0 lead and never looked back, as the Sting topped the Spitfires 6-2 at the RBC Centre in Sarnia on Saturday night in preseason Ontario Hockey League action.

Nikita Korostelev (3G, 1A) hit the scoresheet three times by the time the game was twelve minutes old, beating Spitfires starter Brendan Johnston (18 saves) twice, before setting up a Brett Hargrave goal at 11:46 that gave Sarnia a lead they wouldn't relinquish.

The line of Korostelev, Hargrave and Nikolay Goldobin was dominant, combining for 13 points on the night.

Stephen Janes had a pair of powerplay goals for the Spitfires, who dressed just 14 skaters, with eight regulars away at NHL Rookie Camps.

The win gave Sarnia a sweep of a home-and-home set with the Spits. The Spits wrap up their exhibition schedule on Friday, September 13th, as they play host to the Niagara IceDogs. Gametime is 7:05.
