Kamloops Blazers trim roster down to 25
The Kamloops Blazers have reassigned 15-year-old forwards Quinn Benjafield, Jake Kryski and 16-year-old defenseman Travis Verveda following tonight’s game. Kryski and Verveda both got into one WHL preseason game, while Benjafield did not play participate in a WHL preseason game. The Blazers current roster now sits at 25 players (15 forwards, eight defensemen and two goaltenders).

Kamloops - September 2, 2013 - The Kamloops Blazers have reassigned 15-year-old forwards Quinn Benjafield, Jake Kryski and 16-year-old defenseman Travis Verveda following tonight’s game.

Kryski and Verveda both got into one WHL preseason game, while Benjafield did not play participate in a WHL preseason game.

Kryski will play with the Okanagan Rockets of the B.C. Major Midget League, while Benjafield is expected to play for the Vancouver Northwest Giants.

Verveda will play this season with the Red Deer Optimist Chiefs who play in the Alberta Midget Hockey League. The Optimist Chiefs have won the past two Midget AAA National Championships.

Forward Cole Ully will also be unavailable to the hockey club as he leaves tomorrow for the Dallas Stars rookie camp. Ully was drafted by the Stars in the 5th round of this past year’s NHL Draft. Tim Bozon, who has been drafted and signed by Montreal, will leave to go to the Canadiens camp on Wednesday, September 4th.

Including Ully and Bozon, the Blazers roster sits at 25 players \which includes 15 forwards, eight defensemen and two goaltenders.
