Everett - August 28, 2013 - The Silvertips' Holiday Inn Preseason Classic is set for this weekend at Comcast Arena, with five other WHL teams converging on Everett to join the Silvertips for a total of nine games over three days.

The 'Tips open their exhibition schedule with games against Victoria, Spokane and Portland this weekend as they start preparations for the 2013-14 WHL season.

Silvertips preseason ticket packages are available now and feature all nine games during this weekend's tournament as well as Everett's final home preseason game vs. Seattle on September 13.

This year’s Holiday Inn Preseason Classic returns to a six-team format, featuring all five U.S. Division clubs and the addition of the Victoria Royals.

The event returns to a schedule featuring three games per day (starting at 11:30 am, 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm) between Friday, August 30 and Sunday, September 1. The Silvertips will play the 7:00 pm game each day, facing the Royals, Spokane Chiefs and Portland Winterhawks during the tournament.

Everett will then play one more exhibition home game on Friday, September 13 against the rival Seattle Thunderbirds at Comcast Arena.
