Wilkes-Barre Scranton - October 26, 2014 -

The WBS Penguins took on the Binghamton Senators tonight at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza to round out a three game weekend, the boys just coming home from a trip down interstate 81 yesterday for thier game in Chocolate Town.

First period was good to pens getting on the board first with a nice goal by Tom Kostopoulos a chipped in rebound on the power play would be the ticket Pens go up 1-0 on the Senators

Later in the first WBS strikes again as Derrick Pouliot puts one in making it 2-0, Pouliots first pro goal gives the Pens some breathing room. Binghamton would score later in the first after Tom Kostopoulos broke a stick giving the Senators the advantage.

After one period of play the Pens left the ice leading the Sens 2-1 and looking at :45 of carry over power play to start the second frame.

Senators even the score during the second period with a power play goal making it two all and putting some pressure on the WBS Penguins.

WBS would get some carry over to start the third period as the Senators Johnson gets called for a hook landing him in the sin bin.

Third period started WBS Penguins on the power play but could not get things moving, the Senators seemed to be gaining momentum looking for the go ahead goal. I tweeted something to that effect and guess what happened.

Andrew Ebbett tallied the WBS Penguins go ahead goal and game winner making it 3-2 WBS. Binghamton did get a glorious chance nearing the end of regulation as Payerl got called for Goal Tender interference and the Senators pulled Hammond giving them a 6 on 4, but Megna got a high stick to the chops nullifying the Senators power play and forcing Hammond to come back in net for the faceoff.

All in all a good game for WBS a nice home win.
