Wilkes_Barre Scranton - March 16, 2014 - The Norfolk Admirals came to town tonight with some of their Booster Club behind them to take on our WBS Penguins.

The WBS Penguins came out hot again tonight looking to hold on to the first place spot in the division. Norfolk brought a good fight but the Pens would out score and out play the Admirals in the first period.

Harry Zolnierczyk would put the Pens on the board first putting the puck past Gibson making it one nothing Penguins. A little less than five minutes later Pierre-Luc Letourneau-Leblond made it a 2-0 WBS game with Norfolk looking to even it up.

WBS turns up the heat in the second frame McNeill gives Exelby a lesson in futility have to give this one to McNeill. Brian Doumolin scores the Penguins third goal of the game on the power play putting Norfolk further down the ladder.

Chuck Kobasew tallies his second in a WBS Penguins uniform making this a four point spread Norfolk now looking at a big hole to climb out of and only one period to do it, Pens lead heading for the dressing room 4-0.

Third period starts with a goalie change for Norfolk Brad Thiessen takes over for John Gibson seeing how the Pens scored 4 goals on him I guess the Admirals were looking for something to give them a boost.

Both sides would get some great chances during the third, the Pens would even get a nice 5 on three but could not convert Thiessen and company kept them out. In the end it wouldn’t really matter because the Penguins were leading and maintained that lead to take the Admirals 4-0. Peter Manino would get the shutout and the Pens the win keeping them one point ahead of Binghamton.
