Penguins fall to Flyers
Penguins come out smoking tonight getting a goal just 19 seconds in but have it waived off because of a kicking motion being made to put it past Emery. A lot of action through the first period the only penalty going to Brayden Schenn who interfered with MAF giving the Penguins a chance on the power play but didn’t do much good. Later in the first Brayden Schenn would be the man to put one past Fleury making it one to nothing Flyers. Penguins had a bunch of shots on Emery but just couldn’t get anything in the net for the first frame, leaving the ice down 1-0

Wilkes-Barre Scranton - November 16, 2013 - Penguins come out smoking tonight getting a goal just 19 seconds in but have it waived off because of a kicking motion being made to put it past Emery.

Second gets going Penguins shooting on Emery but he is holding Pens get second power play chance of the night and they make good this time a nice stutter step by Crosby to get in front of the net a nice pass by Malkin makes it 1-1. Penguins and Flyers would trade power plays later in the period but the one that cost the Pens was Bortuzzo taking a cross checking penalty when Super Duper and Hartnell were in the bin for matching minors. Brayden Schenn would go on HTA getting his second of the game on the power play a little rebound off the post and in to make it 2-1 Flyers at the ens of two.

Penguins get some good chances in the third even a power play earlier in the period but it seemed as though the Flyers had their number, Even and I hate to say it but even Ray Emery was on his game tonight. Brooks Orpik had a point blank shot with just under five minutes to play in regulation but couldn’t find an opening. In the last minute of the game the Penguins pulled MAF getting the extra attacker on the ice but they just couldn’t get it done dropping tonight to the Flyers 2-1.
