Wilkes-Barre Scranton - November 8, 2013 - The WBS Penguins took on the Albany Devils tonight at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza. The first of two games this weekend Sunday the Pens will face the Springfield Falcons in Springfield.

Albany would get the first power play of the night as Uher would sit for a hold it would prove to be costly to the Pens as the Devils tic tac toe the puck from behind the net to behind Mannino making it one nothing Devils. Just over two minutes later the Devils would strike again this time Olesz would get the tally kind of over the shoulder and behind the back of Mannino now 2-0 Albany.

Just over two minutes later the Penguins get a break as Zolnierczyk sinks one behind Kinkaid a nice shot from just between the hash marks making it a one poiunt game again the Pens trailing 2-1, but Albany’s Sislo would come right back and make it a two point spread again at the end of one the Devils lead 3-1.

Albany would give WBS a power play early in the second period giving the Penguins a chance to make it a one point game again, WBS would make this one count as Scott Harrington picks a corner and beats Kinkaid clean making it 3-2 Devils. WBS makes it 4-3 as Kostopoulos gets a rebound and stuffs it home giving the Penguins life once again. Albany would score one more time in the second making it a two point game again leaving the ice after two the Devils 5 Penguins 3.

Sill and McKelvie did a dance in the second period Sill seemed to be on the outs but ended up taking the round really spoon feeding McKelvie his fist a few times.

The Penguins make a goal tender change for the third period bring in JDD that coupled with the Sill fight just might get the spark they need. Mike Carman would score early in the third for the Pens and then Conner would score sort of back to back making this game even at five.

Albany would score again making it 6-5 on the power play one of many that WBS gave up to them tonight, that combined with a not so good showing from the Penguin defense made for a losing game against the Devils. The last few seconds of the game things were getting rough
