Stop the Presses! Sid the Kid did nothing wrong
For those of you who may have missed it, an unspeakable crime was committed this week in Pittsburgh, PA. Penguins star Sidney Crosby went to the head of the line at the Department of Motor Vehicles. Windsor - August 11, 2013 - Call the authorities!!

For those of you who may have missed it, an unspeakable crime was committed this week in Pittsburgh, PA.

Penguins star Sidney Crosby went to the head of the line at the Department of Motor Vehicles.

Apparently it’s not sitting well with some folks.

According to The Sports Xchange, Crosby went to a Pittsburgh area DMV on Friday to renew his driver’s license. And thanks to a Pennsylvania DMV policy, celebrities are allowed to go to the front of the line. The thinking, of course, is that the action would keep distractions to a minimum. Can you imagine the chaos in a crowded office? The poor guy would have been surrounded, not to mention inundated with requests for autographs and photos. And, with social media being the way it is, it wouldn’t take long for word to get out.

Here is a sampling of some of the comments from The Sports Xchange story.

“I disapprove. He should have to sit and wait like everybody else.”

“He probably should have waited.”

“He’s another person like everyone else.”

I have news for you, folks. Sid the Kid didn’t write the DMV celebrity policy. He’s not like everybody else. He’s a celebrity. And it says here that he didn’t do anything wrong.
