Toronto - Jul. 23, 2015: Lou Lamoriello resigned as president of the New Jersey Devils on Thursday in order to become the general manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Lamoriello is the 16th general manager in Maple Leafs history. Maple Leafs president Brendan Shanahan was drafted by the Devils in 1987, the year Lamoriello took over as their president and general manager. FULL STORY
Sunrise - Feb. 26, 2015: Jaromir Jagr was acquired by the Florida Panthers on Thursday in a trade from the New Jersey Devils.
The 43-year-old forward had 11 goals and 18 assists in 57 games for the Devils this season.

The Toronto Maple Leafs went to New Jersey last night with one thing on their minds. Break out of the disastrous slump they are in. Having gone into the game without a win in their last ten games, the Buds were looking forward to taking on the sub .500 Devils. Not only did they lose, they created a new team record for futility by breaking the old one set by the 1966-67 version of the team. Philadelphia - Dec. 13, 2014: Philadelphia Flyers GM Ron Hextall announced after practice today that forward Vincent Lecavalier has a tweaked lower-body injury and is considered day-to-day. Toronto - Dec. 5, 2014: The New Jersey Devils knew it was going to take a monumental effort to win Thursday, and that's exactly what they produced.
With seven regulars out of the lineup, the Devils defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs 5-3 at Air Canada Centre.

Pittsburgh - Dec. 3, 2014: Evgeni Malkin scored 2:32 into the third period to give the Pittsburgh Penguins a 1-0 win against the New Jersey Devils at Consol Energy Center on Tuesday.
After a pass from Jayson Megna, Blake Comeau delivered a spinning pass past Devils defenseman Andy Greene and onto Malkin’s tape for his 12th goal of the season.

New Jersey - Jul. 9, 2014: New Jersey Devils goaltender Cory Schneider has signed a multi-year contract extension, the team announced Wednesday. Terms were not released, but The Record reported it is for seven years at an average annual value of $6 million. After finally coming to the realization that not such trade was forthcoming, Gillis finally came to senses and moved Cory Schneider instead.
