Maple Leafs Sign Joseph Duszak to Future Entry-Level Contract
The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today that the hockey club has signed defenceman Joseph Duszak to a two-year future entry-level contract. Duszak, 21, appeared in 37 games with Mercyhurst University this season and recorded 47 points (16 goals, 31 assists), which ranks third among NCAA skaters and leads all NCAA defencemen.

Toronto - March 14, 2019 - The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today that the hockey club has signed defenceman Joseph Duszak to a two-year future entry-level contract.

Duszak, 21, appeared in 37 games with Mercyhurst University this season and recorded 47 points (16 goals, 31 assists), which ranks third among NCAA skaters and leads all NCAA defencemen. In 101 career NCAA games with the Lakers, Duszak registered 99 career points (30 goals, 69 assists) and 98 penalty minutes. In 2017-18, Duszak was named to the Atlantic Hockey Association's All-Conference Second Team and captured the Atlantic Hockey Association's regular season championship.

Duszak is expected to join the Toronto Marlies later this week on an AHL try-out basis.
