Wilkes-Barre - March 27, 2015 -

It was the WBS Penguins heading north tonight to take on the Binghamton Senators at the Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena.

The WBS Penguins would be the ones to draw first blood as Scott Wilson puts one on net Scott and it gets past Scott Greenham making it 1-0 Penguins.  The Binghamton Senators picked up play somewhat but Matt Murray and company kept the score 1-0. WBS would get the first power play of tonight's game as Alex Guptill sat for a trip but , nothing for WBS.

Danny Syvret gets whistled for hooking putting the WBS Penguins on the PK, eight seconds after the Senators power play starts the Penguins Jayson Megna tallies a short handed goal putting the Penguins up 2-0. Megna's shorty would be the Penguins third of the season. At the end of the first the Penguins would take a two gaol lead to the dressing room.

Action in the second as Binghamton try to get something going Adam Payerl and Max McCormick do a little dance after some rough stuff in front of Matt Murray, but the WBS Penguins held tight not letting the Senators gain any momentum.

Play picked up toward the end of the second Binghamton picking up the pace a bit  end to end hockey, WBS needed to settle it down and play their game and did putting more pressure on the Senators.

WBS get a power play chance early in the third period but the Senators kill it off keeping it a two goal game. Binghamton's Lepine gets whistled for holding giving the Penguins another chance for an insurance goal, just as the power play concludes Carter Rowney swats one out of mid air and makes it 3-0 Penguins.

The Binghamton Senators would tally a goal later in the third making it a 3-1 gamebut that would be all that Binghamton would get. Even after pulling Greenham the Penguins shut the Senators down. Final score of tonight's game WBS 3 BNG 1.
