Wilkes-Barre - March 15, 2015 -

Second place WBS Penguins took on the third place Hartford Wolf Pack this afternoon at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza.

Hartford would be the ones to draw first blood a power play goal at 11:57 of the first period WBS looking a little slow on the draw.

The Wolf Pack would score again this time it was an even strength goal a nice redirect just before the period ended giving Hartford a 2-0 lead to take to the dressing room for the first intermission.

Second period was not much better for the WBS Penguins than the first was. Hartford tallied two more goals during the second one on the power play and one even strength.

The Penguins looked asleep at the wheel not mounting any type of offense not getting many shots on net only 10 shots for two period 3 in the first and 7 in the second mostly after the midway point. The Pens would score late in the second Josh Archibald put home a PL3 shot giving the Pens something to leave the ice for the second intermission.

The WBS Penguins would score again cutting the Wolf Packs lead in half making it 4-2 on a Jayson Megna goal, but that would be all for the Pens.

Hartford would tally one more goal on the afternoon an empty netter as the Penguins attempted to go with the extra attacker late in the third. It wasn't a great game for the WBS Penguins today the Wolf Pack beating them 5-2.
