Windsor - June 1, 2013 - General Manager Warren Rychel is pleased to announce the club has signed forward Cameron Hughes to an OHL Contract and Education Package.

The 17-year-old native of Ottawa, Ontario was Windsor's 8th Round selection, 145th overall, in the 2012 OHL Priority Selection.

Hughes is coming off an impressive showing in his second Spitfires Mini-Camp that included a pair of goals in Saturday's Day Two scrimmage.

“We're very happy with the progress Cameron has made in the last 12 months,” Rychel said. “He was one of the best players at camp. His improvement along with his size and work ethic is a signficant addition to our club.”

Hughes played in 38 games for the Winchester Hawks of the EOJHL in 2012-13, putting up six goals and nine assists, along with 107 penalty minutes.

Hughes will attend Spitfires Training Camp in August and will be enrolled at St Anne's High School in Lakeshore in September.
