Hockey is Back! The NHL has entered to bubble cities and the real games are about to begin. It is time for the NHL Playoffs, where this year 24 teams compete for the Stanley Cup. When my Dad was alive, he enjoyed running a playoff pool each season. Since his passing in 2008, his tradition has continued and we are ready to launch the 24th Annual Hometown Hockey Playoff Pool.

Everyone is now healthy, so it could any team could win. Will Binningtion and the Blues repeat? Will Matthews and the Leafs surprise? Can Nashville take the next step this year? Is there another team that will be the victor? Who will win the Lafrenierre sweepstakes? So many questions.

It is easy to join - Normally, this pool requires you to dress 20 players. This year due to COVID-19, you will carry 23 players. Your team will consist of FIVE (5) complete forward lines, THREE (3) defence pairings, and TWO (2) goalies. You will also need to pick the team that will win the Stanley Cup. All 24 players will count towards your total! Again this year, we will be using OfficePools.com to provide real time scoring and lessen the admin workload (Thanks Murph!)

Entry fee is only $20.00 and the prize break down is 50% of total pot for first, 25% for second, 15% for third and 10% for fourth. Deadline for submission is 12:00 pm on Saturday August 1, 2020.
