Windsor Spitfires Game Day versus the Sarnia Sting
The Windsor Spitfires continue their 2012-13 Ontario Hockey League season with a road game against the Sarnia Sting. The Spits are in the midst of a five game road trip due to Skate Canada taking over the WFCU Centre this weekend.

Windsor - October 25, 2012 - The Windsor Spitfires continue their 2012-13 Ontario Hockey League season with a road game against the Sarnia Sting. The Spits are in the midst of a five game road trip due to Skate Canada taking over the WFCU Centre this weekend.

Sarnia Sting

The Sting have a record of 5-6-0-1 so far this season and this ranks them fourth in the Western Conference. Montreal Canadiens first round pick Alex Galchenyuk leads the Sting in scoring with 15 points in 12 games. Charles Sarault is second with 12 points in the same number of games. The first overall selection of the Edmonton Oilers, Nail Yakupov, is still eligible to play for the Sting, however he is currently playing in the KHL during the NHL Lockout. The Sting are coming into tonight’s game following a 5-3 home ice loss at the hands of the Kitchener Rangers.

Windsor Spitfires

The Spitfires enter the game coming off a fairly successful weekend last week where they earned four out of a possible six points. Windsor’s record now sits at 6-4-0-3. Montreal Draftee Brady Vail leads the team in scoring with 16 points in 13 games. NHL prospect Kerby Rychel is second with 11 points in 13 games. Josh Ho Sang is third with nine. The Spits are 6-0 when out-shooting their opponents.

Parting thoughts

The game is Windsor's first of three road games this weekend. Tomorrow night they are in Guelph to take on the Storm and Sunday they travel to Owen Sound. The Spits return home on Thursday against the London Knights.
