The Warden of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry, Mr. Ian McLeod held a curling bonspiel on March 23-24, 2012 at the Lancaster and District Curling Club.

Lancaster - Mar. 29, 2012 - The Warden of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry, Mr. Ian McLeod held a curling bonspiel on March 23-24, 2012 at the Lancaster and District Curling Club.

It was a lovely event with 20 teams participating.

The winning team was none other than Mr. Ian McLeod, Elaine and Gareth Pye and Janice McLeod.

Skips rocks were thrown for a tied position for second place. Ryan Mallory from North Stormont and Keith McGregor from Marvin Waldroff team threw skips rock to determine the winner by getting it closest to the button. The closest to the button was won by Ryan Mallory form North Stormont.

-The 2nd runner up was the men's team from the Township of North Stormont skipped by Ryan Mallory, Bill McGimpsey, Richard Neville and Blake Henderson (Carol Hunt) filled in for the second game.
-The 3rd runner up was Marvin Waldroff's team.
-4th place went to the City of Cornwall - Glen Grant, Denis Thibault, Syd Gardner and Allan Murphy.
-Caisse Poplaire place 5th Skip - Dave Lalonde, Stephane Leger, Nicole Lalonde and Julie Leger.

After curling dinner was set up in two servings and tables were decorated in good old Scottish style with a wide range of plaid to ad decor to the festivities.

A delicious dinner of roast pork, mashed potatoes, carrots, beans, coleslaw and plenty of dessert was prepared by Duncan Cornes and served by the girls from Glen Nevis.

During dinner the Warden had Ms Kelsey MacDonell play the fiddle, in true Glengarry style, for all to enjoy.
