Cornwall - Sep. 2, 2011 - The long awaited Jiffy Auto Services 200 has finally arrived as it will be the last night of points in all divisions along with a spectacular 125-lap Modified feature event with high stakes on the line with end of the Canadian Nationals Series and the 3rd series race of the MrDIRTcar 358-Modified series. The Mohawk Race Parts Pro-Stock Series will also be completed with a 50-lap event. The Sportsman, Semi-Pro and Mini-Stock will also be on hand.

There will be a lot on the line in the 125-lap 358-Modified feature race; the Canadian Nationals Series will end on Sunday. Stephane Lafrance is currently in good position to claim a second trophy at Cornwall. Lafrance needs to show up on Sunday to be crowned the 2011 track champion and currently has a 42-point lead over Mario Clair in that series, Claude Brouillard, Dale Planck and Joel Doiron are currently completing the top 5.

Along with the Canadian Nationals, Cornwall will be the host of the 3rd series race of the MrDIRTcar 358-Modifieds Series. After the first two races, Brett Hearn leads the way with 195 points, Danny Johnson is second with 160 points, and Danny O’Brien sits in third with 16 points behind Johnson. Cornwall`s race winner in July, Dale Planck is fourth with Carey Terrance completing the top 5. A total of 44 drivers had showed up earlier in the year for the first combined Canadian Nationals/MrDIRTcar Series format.

Joey Ladouceur is currently in the same position as Stéphane Lafrance, he needs to show up Sunday to secure his 2011 points title. Ladouceur also has a comfortable 79-point lead in the Mohawk Race Parts Series as he won the first 4 events. Only 1 point separates Stéphane Lebrun and Corey Wheeler for second. Louie Jackson and Stéphane Lemire, holds on the fourth and fifth positions. Cornwall averaged over 20 cars this season; we can expect a higher number of participation for this 50-lap event.

The Sportsman will have a 20-lap affair of their own with point`s leader Chris Herbison looking to conserve his lead of 43 points over Shane Pecore and win the points title. Second year driver Jeff Philipps is currently third with 19 points behind Pecore. The positions 4 to 6 are pretty tight as only 8 points separates the drivers with Josh Jock, Mitch Primeau and Dillon Sallows in sixth.

In the Semi-Pro, Kevin Fetterly has a whopping 118-point lead over rookie Michael McCargar. The points are really tight for the rest of the top 5 with only 8 points separating everyone. The 15-lap event will be important for everyone.

At the start of the season, Ernie Cree had built himself a sizeable lead in the Mini-Stock championship, since then, this lead has melted as he only has 12 points over Mike Gaucher who has been one of the top guys lately in this category. A heated battle is expected in the 12-lap feature.

General admission will cost 30$ for adults with Students 17 and under and seniors paying 22$; children 12-years old and under are always admitted for free. Pit admission will be 40$. Both gates will open at 3:30pm with the time trials scheduled to start at 5:30pm. For all details, results, points and other useful information, you can visit the www.cornwallspeedway.com .
