Cornwall - Jul. 26, 2011 - The Modifieds will have a busy night and double incentive to participate in the 100-lap feature event. The 2nd race of the Canadian Nationals will be mixed with the visit of the MrDIRTcar 358-Modified Series race. The Pro-Stock, Semi-Pro and Mini-Stock will share the track with the Modifieds on that night sponsored by Jiffy Auto Service and Pennzoil.

In the end of May, the first race of the Canadian Nationals was run and 36 modifieds showed up as Stéphane Lafrance had won a thriller over Mario Clair and Brandon Sweet. With points given for this series along with the MrDIRTcar Series and $4,000 on the line, a bigger field of cars is expected for this race.

Brett Hearn is expected to lead a pack of superstars’ drivers such as Pete Bicknell, Danny O’Brien, Dale Planck, David Hébert, Mario Clair and company. Lafrance is in the lead in the Canadian Nationals with a 7-point advantage over Mario Clair in second. Brandon Sweet is third followed by Chris Raabe and Jean Boissonneault in fifth. The first event of the MrDIRTcar 358-Modified series was started in Merrittville until the remainder of the feature was postponed to Monday, August 1st. Several drivers will want to use Cornwall as a good starting point in that coveted series chase.

The Pro-Stock will also be on the schedule card with a regular 20-lap event; Joey Ladouceur continues to lead the way in the always competitive full-fender category. The Semi-Pro with 15 laps and Mini-Stock will twelve will also be included in this great night of racing.

Pit gates will open at 3:30pm to accommodate the haulers, time trials are scheduled at 5:30pm for the Modifieds and the first qualifying heat will start at 6pm. General admission gates will open at 4pm.
