Rock for Charity XVI set for this Friday night at La Maison

Rock for Charity XVI is Friday July 22nd at La Maison in Cornwall. The event is 19+, doors open at 9pm, and it is a minimum donation of $5. Playing are Boozehound (featuring Denis Andre, Ben Poitras, and Matt Howard), plus acoustic sets by The Vague-Abonds (with Joel Sauve and Jason Allaire), Tommy Heatley, Dog Fight Champion (with Bud O'Byrne), and "Rock and Roll" Joel Ouellette. It is a fundraiser for Hospice Cornwall.

Playing are Boozehound (featuring Denis Andre, Ben Poitras, and Matt Howard), plus acoustic sets by The Vague-Abonds (with Joel Sauve and Jason Allaire), Tommy Heatley, Dog Fight Champion (with Bud O'Byrne), and "Rock and Roll" Joel Ouellette. It is a fundraiser for Hospice Cornwall.

There will be a guest speaker from Hospice Cornwall at the event. To date Jason Setnyk's Rock for Charity has raised over $6000 for various local charities and non profit groups that make Cornwall and SD&G a better community to live in.

"Hospice Cornwall is a service under the management of Carefor Health and Community Services. It is a 10 bed facility offering end of life services for patients and their loved ones in a supportive and peaceful setting, free of pain and surrounded by caring that reflects as closely as possible a comfortable home environment. There is no cost to the patient. To date, they have helped over 200 families with end of life care. The annual operational budget for Hospice is 1.2 million dollars. The Ministry of Health and Long Term Care only funds $592,000 of that amount and therefore, we must seek donations from the community to reach our goal and to ensure the future of the hospice."
