Good eats at the Little Sweets Cafe and Bakery

We lunched at the Little Sweets Cafe and Bakery in Belle River which began as a bakery and expanded to include the cafe. Scratch cooking - simple and delicious. We went for sandwiches, a turkey club with their fresh baked bread and roasted turkey plus a veggie panini featuring their crusty bun and roasted vegetables.

Belle River - January 13, 2013 - We are continually exploring our new hometown and we love being on the lake. We thoroughly enjoy the outdoors and the never ending wild life we keep meeting up with during our exploration. The other wonderful aspect of living in a new area is finding restaurant gems and we enjoyed lunch at one today.

We live in the Town of Lakeshore which houses many great hamlets and Belle River is one of them. We lunched at the Little Sweets Cafe and Bakery in Belle River which began as a bakery and expanded to include the cafe. Scratch cooking - simple and delicious. We went for sandwiches, a turkey club with their fresh baked bread and roasted turkey plus a veggie panini featuring their crusty bun and roasted vegetables. Plus a grilled cheese for our toddler.

Homemade potato salad and coleslaw were perfect sides plus a scrumptious bowl of chicken noodle soup. We were stuffed or we would have grabbed a slice of strawberry rubbarb pie so we opted to grab some granny tarts beckoning us from the bakery side to enjoy later.

We want to take my parents back for breakfast as I eyed what I know will be amazing stuffed French toast with their cinnamon bread. Ellen and Erinie Little are doing it deliciously right.
