This afternoon, despite the poor job we have done putting out orange slices - we had a visit from this beauty! We were outside enjoying the nice day and heard him...then we saw him at the top of one of the trees. #CanadaSouth Mon, 01 Jun 2020 06:11:41 +0000SNAPSHOT - Lake St. Clair was angry Friday night (video)http://www.ourhometown.ca/lifestyle/HS0426.phphttp://www.ourhometown.ca/lifestyle/HS0426.phpLake St. Clair was angry with the due north winds! Both are new entries into our Bird Journal. We recently filled the feeder in hopes that the Orioles, Cardinals and Blue Jays will return this spring. The golden-crowned kinglet (Regulus satrapa) is a very small songbird. Adults are olive-gray on the upperparts with white underparts, with thin bills and short tails. They have white wing bars, a black stripe through the eyes and a yellow crown surrounded by black. The adult male has an orange patch in the middle of the yellow crown. Mon, 06 Apr 2015 18:02:10 +0000
