Draft Questions

As I get a question from a GM, I will post the answer here. Likely if one person was wondering about it, others are too.

Also, if you have a question - this is a good place to post it.

QUESTION #1 - Do I have to draft four defencemen in the first eleven rounds?

ANSWER #1 - No, you can pick any player from any position at any time over the 23 rounds. Only stipulation is that at the end of those 23 rounds, you need to be able to dress a line-up of LW, LW, C, C, RW, RW, D, D, D, D, G.

QUESTION #2 - How do I see who has been picked after Round 1 and 2?

ANSWER #2 - Click on the appropriate round in the ROUND SELECTOR box to the right

QUESTION #3 - Can I pick a player who isnt on the list?

ANSWER #3 - Yes. The database is very large but does not include every player. You can pick a player "off the list" but he has had to be drafted already (ie cant pick Connor McDavid yet) or invited to an NHL Camp. NHL.com will determine the players position
