Statistician’s Report
a. Website Update
As you know many changes have been made to the site. Please bear with me as I work through them all. Below is a list of the changes/upgrades. Please let me know if you need more info.

RULE CHANGE
As of September 2010 there were 6 players who have two different positions in the CFHL. (ie RW: Sam Gagner, LW: Sam Gagner). These players include Dustin Brown, Ryane Clowe, Marian Gaborik, Sam Gagner, Dany Heatley and Zach Parise. Their current positions will be grandfathered, however no future player can have multiple positions in the CFHL. Once a player is left unprotected for both his A & B, then his position will be checked on NHL.com and adjusted accordingly. If only one of the players (A or B) is left unprotected, his position will be the same as the CFHL protected player regardless of what NHL.com may indicate.

(For example, Joe Blow is currently on two CFHL teams and is listed as a Center and NHL.com lists him as a Left Winger. If both CFHL teams do not protect Joe Blow, his position will be changed to LW. If only one of the two CFHL teams protects him, then his position will remain as C.)

PLAYER PROBLEM from 2009-10: Both Tutin and Rinne are on 3 teams and nobody noticed. It got caught when we migrated to the new data base. If one is left unprotected than he cannot be redrafted and this will get us back to the usual 2.

b. Important Dates
• PROTECTED LISTS – Monday September 27, 2010 at 6:00 pm or sooner
• ENTRY DRAFT – Sunday October 3, 2010 – 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm
• FIRST LINE-UP – Thursday October 7, 2010 by 6:30 pm

Entry Draft Procedures
• Chris & ??? (John??) to coordinate and record the picks.
• 288 players to be picked in 4 hours.
• Wireless internet on site – bring your own laptop, PDA or Blackberry
• Big screen will show the draft order, time left to pick and who has been picked.
• All picks will be live on internet at the same time.
• Each team will have 60 seconds to make their pick. If time elapses, the next team in the draft order will get to make a pick and the offending team will follow that pick.
• Each team will be granted one 60 second Time-Out.
• A 15 minute break will be taken after Round 6.
• REMINDER - If you cant make it and don’t send someone in your place, rules say you pick ALL of your players at the end of the draft.

d. Recruitment of 2 New Owners
• Sunday September 12th at 6:30 deadline to Nominate
• Tuesday September 14th at 6:30 deadline to file Objection
• Thursday September 16th at 6:30 deadline to cast your vote.

Discussion Items from General Managers
• Minor adjustments can be made for the upcoming season (2010-11) and more substantial changes will be made in time for the following season (2010-11).
• TERRY – Discussion to change the Divisional Alignment for 2010-11 and beyond. Decision was to remain as is.
• FRANK - Discussion to force all teams to maintain at least 2 Winter Picks. Decision was to remain as is.
