Thanks Joe. Not sure where you are going with this, but the reason protected players are not allowed in the minors is to protect the integrity of the majors, not the minors. The constitution speaks about dressing your best line-up every week. This rule prevents GMs from dressing McDavid or Matthews or Holtby or whatever star in the minors instead of the majors...thus weakening their major team.
The big money is in the majors, not the minors. Minors are meant to be a fun addition, with a little extra dough on the side. It helps keeps more GM's focused for all 26 weeks and adds a twist to trading.
Make no mistake about it - this league is about the Majors, not the minors.
