Who's staying over there?

When the NHL finally resumes (I'm staying hopeful) are there any players playing overseas that have said they wouldn't be coming back for the remainder of the 2012-2013 season? I have no interest in the leagues over there and haven't really paid attention to which players have gone over. Did any of them sign a contract saying they would play the entire season over there even if the NHL resumes?

Not sure - but there are likely to be a few unless things resolve themselves quickly! Regardless, it is nice to see some chatter on the site again!

As you have heard today, the NHL is showing commitment to getting the season started (a full 82 games) by the first week of November with a 50/50 split of revenues and an extra game every month per team to make up the lost games. The next few days will probably decide if this is going to work or not...keep your fingers crossed.
