If there are any questions about any of these statements let me know by the end of April. I have set some dates but if there are conflicts for people let me know and they could change as required to accommodate people’s schedules.
1. Standings are final, tie breaks explained.
The NHL has made no changes to the stats as posted last week, the standings are final. CONGRATS to Gladiators on winning the 2025 DFHL cup!!!
Standings are as posted on the website (tie breaks change nothing):
- Rustlers finish 5th ahead of Wyverns 6th. They split their season (wk2 and 25) series but Rustlers outscored Wyverns 67 to 65.
- Vipers finish 9th ahead of Kings and Travellers. They won the H2H matchups (wk12 and 15).
- Kings finish 10th ahead of Travellers. They split the H2H series (wk1 and 24) but Kings outscored Travellers 78 to 67
In the minors:
- Wyrms finish 2nd ahead of Fliers. They split the H2H series (wk8 and 20) but Wyrms outscored Fliers 28 to 23
- Mandalorians finish 4th ahead of Olympiques. They have more wins.
- Other tie breaks were not assessed.
2. Draft order, subject to the Draft Lottery.
Draft Lottery date: Wednesday May 1st at 7PM. Rick will send a Teams meeting request April 29th.
Standings for draft purposes. Seeds 12-16 are subject to the draft lottery for picks 1-5 (order set according to lottery results):

Lemieux: Rustlers – Ruffians - Blue Jays - Wolfpack
4. Summer cap, cuts and Waiver claim date
No salary cap until September 7th but max 50 players remains.
Cap compliant rosters are due September 7th. All players cut over the summer will be left in a waivers pool for claim by 11:59PM Sunday September 14th. Players released on the 15th to make space for successful waiver claims would be on 24-hour waivers for claim by 11:59PM September 16th. If more players are released the 17th and beyond, another 24-hour waiver claim period will be allotted until no players are claimed.
5. 25-26 Entry draft.
The Entry Draft would commence 7PM September 17th.
As I said earlier, if these dates conflict with anyone’s schedule let me know and we’ll adjust as needed.
